Commercial Shrink Wrapping

   Shrink wrap protects against all weather damage; it is waterproof and can be sealed around entire units to eliminate any weather related losses including rain, snow, wind, and sun.
  The sub-station above was wrapped to protect it from road salt. Road salt on the insulators can cause a serious electrical short. Without shrink wrapping this unit would need to be power washed and allowed to dry out before making electrical connections. In the winter time water is painfully slow to evaporate, and is more likely to freeze. By shrink wrapping this unit, it will arrive on site, be unwrapped and put into service immediately without waiting days for it to dry out.  

   Shrink wrap has considerable advantages over tarps, construction plastic sheeting and other types of covers that can move and chafe painted surfaces when covering loads being transported or stored.

   Shrink wrap can also protect from prying eyes.

   We can even install zippered access doors. This can allow for inspections or minor repairs.
